about me
Prior to starting my private psychotherapy practice, I worked as a teacher and school counselor in both public and private schools in the Bay Area and New York City. I earned my bachelors degree from UC Davis where I studied Women and Gender Studies as well as African American Studies. I earned a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Hunter College in NYC, as well as my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from The Wright Institute.
For the last ten years I have worked with women +, as well as familes in a clinical setting. I am passionate about creating the space for my clients to be seen and heard in a way that is free of judgement. This allows people to get in touch with what really matters to them. My therapeutic approach draws from different modalities including, Gestalt and Family therapy, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, and Buddhist Psychology.
Common issues I help people deal with are:
Setting boundaries
Getting in touch with values
Coping with stress and overwhelm
Certifications and other training
Reiki Master. EFT Tapping (Emotional Freedom Technique)
